Yep, that's right.
Somebody started kindergarten.
And rode the bus for the first time EVER.
Luckily she has a sweet big brother to show her the way.
He's rockin' the 2nd grade this year.
They're both pretty cute, eh?
(I'm not Canadian, but it's fun to say "eh". You should try it.)
O.K. So here's a little side note ~ I googled the word "eh" (just to make sure I was spelling it right) and the Canadian Slang Dictionary said this:
"Eh?" is a word you add to the end of a sentence, to ask for a response of agreement or disagreement, similar in meaning to "don't you think?" ex. "Looks like a storm comin' in, eh?" It is also sometimes used with "I know", and in that case it doesn't really mean anything. -"Wow, the Flames really kicked ass butt tonite!" -"I know, eh?" Good luck trying to use it properly if you're not Canadian. Trust me Americans, we can tell the difference! You're not foolin' anybody :)
Too funny. I think I did a pretty good job though using the word "eh", eh?
Thumbs up from this Canadian. Good job, eh?
ReplyDeleteKids grow up way too fast!
ReplyDeleteI'm machine-quilting my first quilt today and it just so happens to be your Candy Hearts pattern! The pattern was so easy to follow, especially for a beginner like me. Thanks for such a great quilt pattern!
Very cute kids.....such a good big brother and sweet little sister !
ReplyDeleteThey are so cute! Can't think of anything witty to say including the word 'eh' but I might get credits for trying eh?
ReplyDeleteI have to pay my hairdresser a lot of money to have hair that colour! She is gorgeous - and her big brother is cute too!!
ReplyDeleteYou know, it only looks funny when you write it down. I would never write that at the end of a sentence but I say it all the time.
ReplyDeleteThat made me laugh out loud!
ReplyDeletethanks
Oh how precious. These pictures took my mind back to when my own two babes were this age. What a JOY to see them. Thank you so much for sharing!

ReplyDeleteIsn't he a good bigbrother to look after her. So cute together. I think we use that slang word "eh" down here in NZ as well.
ReplyDeleteEH! from this Canadian up North on the peninsula, we could take you on board anytime...
ReplyDeleteActually being French we possibly use that punctuation more than anyone lol...
Bless your wee ones, adorable in so many ways. This is a fine time in theirs and your life. Treasure every moment you will be so glad you did. Blessings to a great school year...

Blake and Maya are so flippin cute! I noticed Blake is losing and growing some teeth....getting so big so fast! I love that your passion of quilting is rubbing off on your "side kick". What a wonderful talent to have in life. Hope to see you at Thanksgiving time! xoxo
