I'm so excited to share my newest pattern with you today!
I can't decide if it's because it features the [available in stores any second] new fabric line called Marmalade by Bonnie and Camille - which I am seriously in love with. OR, because I am in love with the cute little X's in this quick and easy design.
It's called Twisted.
It's Layer Cake friendly and I've included instructions
for both throw and baby sizes.
See what I'm talking about?!? This line is scrumptious!
Twisted Baby shows the two color placement option
(making it extra twisty :)
* THIS GIVEAWAY IS NOW CLOSED *

ReplyDeleteI'm always so excited to see your new patterns - they're always adorable.
ReplyDeleteOh, I love it!!! I can't decide what my favorite is, the color back with white, or the white back with color!
ReplyDeleteLove that pattern...especially in the solid colorways. Do you think it would work well in the colors of fall M&M's? I do....

ReplyDeleteI would love to win a copy of this pattern..so pretty!
ReplyDeleteSomething interesting??? I just returned home from hiking the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu!! so I am now ready to settle in and get some sewing done..this would be a perfect start! thanks for the giveaway.
Great pattern!! I love both versions!
ReplyDeleteSomething interesting??? my Red Poll cow has just calved - her 9th calf and her first heifer(female!) We've called her Coco!
Love this new pattern! So fun and different. And it you picked beautiful fabrics to create with!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great pattern with lots of possibilities. Love your Marmalade Twist but the two color twist is wonderful too! Thanks for sharing both options.
ReplyDeleteI really like how sometimes I see x's and sometimes I see diamonds! Awesome! This is such a versatile pattern, I can see it being used for a boy quilt, girl quilt, Christmas quilt, Valentines quilt, etc. . . Good job. . .I have enjoyed several of your patterns. This will be another hit!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great pattern! Love that it comes in two sizes and can made with a Layer Cake! I have been doing some Fall Table Toppers. Thanks for the chance to win your pattern!
ReplyDeleteso, so beautiful, sis! those colors and fabrics are so pretty! i am going to consider them for Brooklynn's new bedding! I'll have to show you what else I found at the fabric store. I'm thinking it is very similar. xx
ReplyDeleteI like the Marmalade version, but I LOVE the solids version most of all! Gorgeous!!!!!
ReplyDeleteLove your new pattern! It is lovely in the Marmalade fabrics..hope I'm a lucky one...
ReplyDeleteVery cute - and so is that Marmalade line. Interesting, hmm... we're trying to sell our house, we are building a house in the country, and our Jack Russell terrier, Ripley, loves it out there!
ReplyDeleteannesimonot@sasktel.net
I love them both but the aqua and white looks so fresh and clean. Beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThese are beautiful, and I especially like the two-toned version. It is just so striking and the quilting is perfect!
ReplyDeleteOk, you want to hear something intereting. My daughter is getting married on the 13th and I should be cleaning the house for the guests that will be arriving, but instead I am surfing the net, reading blogs and now, thanks to you, planning what fabric I'm going to use to make this awesome quilt. So, are you ok with me blaming you if the house isn't spotless? Just asking! :-)
That's a cute pattern! <3
ReplyDeleteI can't come up with an idea how you did the crosses...
It's such a pretty pattern. I love the two colour (that's how we spell it in Canada!) option. Something interesting, I'm going to be a Gramma after my daughter trying for years! We find out what the baby is next month, and then look out! I will be sewing up a storm!
ReplyDeleteI love this pattern! It looks deceptivly simple, and I can't help trying to reverse-engineer it. I will vie for the strangest story, by telling you that I teach grade 7 and 8 math, and I am far too entertained by this blog post from another teacher:
ReplyDeletehttp://mrvaudrey.wordpress.com/2012/05/03/the-only-lesson-theyll-remember/
I have shown it to several colleagues, and while it crosses the humour boundaries to non-math people, I'm not sure yet if non-teachers (or non-13 year olds!) will find it as awesome as I do. Please check your stock of brain-bleach before you click the link, (my students won't get that warning) .... next week's math lesson will be all about mullets. (and the mullet ratio).
Hope I made you smile!
Sarah
Looove this pattern and the fabric. Marmalade is so pretty. I never want to cut into Bonnie & Camille's fabrics. I'm hoarding my Ruby still.
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful...I just painted my guest room a pale aqua. Ca't seem to get enough of that color.
ReplyDeleteI have been following your blog from afar, but, must admit, I needed to tell you how great this pattern is! I would love to make it in high contrast colors for a very modern feel! Kudos!

ReplyDeleteGreat pattern! I love seeing the contrast between doing it with prints or solids!
ReplyDeleteI'm immediately attracted to this design and when i saw the words "quick" and "easy", I'm now eager. Those are delicious words to read for a beginner quilter like me.
ReplyDeleteIt does look especially pretty in the Marmalade fabric.
Lovely pattern! It is interesting in design without being fussy or complicated...very modern! Something interesting...it's going to be 29 degrees (about 85 in your language) in Melbourne today!
ReplyDeleteI love it! I think it would be a fabulous quilt design to make for different holidays. I could see it super cute for Halloween or Christmas!
ReplyDeleteso very pretty!

ReplyDeletelove the baby quilt colors, they stand out so vividly. great pattern. thanks for the chance to win.
ReplyDeleteOoooh great pattern!! I love how striking a simplistic it looks while still sending itself effectively to scrappy or just solids. So versatile and I think I could even see it working in king sized for my bed.... Love it.

ReplyDeleteI am loving this quilt pattern and your fabric choices were spot on! Thanks for the great giveaway!
ReplyDeleteLovely pattern. And of course you can never go wrong with some Bonnie & Camille.
ReplyDeleteBeauriful pattern. I love patterns that I really have to study to figure out 'how did she do that?' Still not sure I've fingered out how you make your blocks! Would love to win your pattern to find out if I'm right!
ReplyDeleteOh, I have been looking and looking for the perfect
ReplyDeletebaby quilt for my granddaughter, due in January.
I love both, but the solids in the nursery colors (pink,
chocolate and white) would be perfect!!
I just absolutely LOVE this pattern! My new grandbaby's room is going to be grey and green and with the white background I can really see his new baby quilt done with this pattern! Simple but very unique!!!!
ReplyDeleteThe fabric line is gorgeous, but so is your pattern. It is the scrappy homey look that I like.
ReplyDeleteI really, really like this new pattern of yours. The teal colored one particularly appeals to me in it's sharp contrast. I can easily see it in my bedroom. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI love this pattern. Especially the baby quilt. how absolutely adorable. Im loveing this fall weather. Such a wonderful change from the summer.
ReplyDeleteYour quilt is really beautiful. Your color choices are very interesting.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! I love the X's! It's lovely in Marmalade but the two color option is so very striking!

ReplyDeletesowingstitches [at] gmail [dot] com
So cute and fresh looking! Great job on all the color selections...I love every one of them!
ReplyDeleteThat does look like a fun quilt to make & really doesn't look very difficult. I'm already thinking of all the different fabric I could make it in.
ReplyDeleteI love, love, love this pattern!! And, you say it's easy??? Love it in the Marmalade and it looks really awesome in the solids. I have lots of Layer Cakes in my stash to make one with! Thanks so much for the chance to win this pattern! Something interesting, hmmmm....we just got back from vacation - a cruise to Halifax and saw the Titanic graves - very moving and interesting!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the new pattern! It looks great - so graphic and fresh.
ReplyDeleteI thought the first layer cake version was lovely, but the baby quilt with the two toned twist is even better. I can't think of much interesting going on here right now, but we are planning a vacation for next week--maybe hiking in the Smokey Mountains. I miss the fall colors.
ReplyDeleteLove the pattern and how it looks in two colors. Really nice job!
ReplyDeleteOh I love this pattern. My best friend is waiting for her first grand daughter to arrive. This quilt would be perfect in pink. Thanks for the chance to win. I just got my first hearing dog from Canine Companions for Independence. What a top quality organization. My new dog loves to curl up by me in my sewing room. We are going to make a great team!
ReplyDeleteI love these especially in the blue's and whites...I would love to learn how to put the overlay stripes on over the quilt.
ReplyDeleteIt's gorgeous! Love the baby done in solids ; )
ReplyDeleteI love how simple and clean this pattern is. I would love to make one for my grand daughter. She just got home from being in the intensive care for the first three weeks of her life. She could really use a little gramma love quilt and this looks like the perfect pattern.
ReplyDeleteThe graphic simplicity is great. I can definitely see myself buying this one!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a reason to use a layer cake! I have two but I've never used one before now. Congrats!
ReplyDeleteI can't think of anything interesting but here's a shot. I am on a mug rug/potholder making frenzy trying to get ahead of the Christmas rush. I've done them all the traditional way - with binding. I decided to be a bit more modern and do the sew around the edge, flip, and then stitch method last night. Worked great -- except I put the batting in the middle (as I would normally do) -- so I had to unstitch and restitch. The good news is the final product looks great and I was reminded not to take myself too seriously (or ever work under a deadline)!
Gorgeous pattern - Looks like it would whip up fast (which i need right now......). Thanks for the opportunity on the draw.

I absollutely love this pattern and your colors are so bright and pretty, I can't wait to make this for a cancer patient undergoing treatment, which, I quilt for on a daily basis. Thanks for the draw.

Great pattern!!
ReplyDeleteHmmm...something interesting? I'll be seeing Hamlet next week at the Tony Award winning Shakespeare Festival in Cedar City, Utah. Go Bard!
Hi, I am sorry to have to send an e-mail but I don't know any of the other ones. I follow your blog but never able to join in the comments. I love these quilts but the blue and white is really dear to my heart. I am new at making quilts. I've made a baby quilt and a memory quilt for my sister in-law who had a stroke so people can sign it when they come to visit. I would really love to win this giveaway. Thanks you for sharing.
ReplyDeleteLove it! Already have the perfet fabrics picked out to make it as a gift!
ReplyDeleteVery cute, fun and different. I'd love to have the pattern.
ReplyDeleteThis pattern is great! And I love the Marmalade too!
ReplyDeleteOoohh - this is delightful! What a great pattern. Good job Amber!
ReplyDeleteThis is a great pattern! I love both versions. I've not really made anything with solids, though I keep collecting them and like their modern feel. I worry I would get bored without pattern in the fabric. I've only been quilting one year. I've made four quilts and quite a few other things since I began, but not nearly so much as so many others!! Interesting? Hm. I live on a boat and do all my sewing on the boat. We turned the guest berth (bedroom) into my sewing room. I love being there in my little space surrounded by my surprising amount of fabric! I'd love to win one of your patterns - thank you!
ReplyDeleteSuper pattern!!! Looks so fun in Marmalade. My exciting news....my Marmalade fat quarter bundle was shipped today from Green Fairy Quilts! Perfect timing to win a new quilt pattern, hint hint.
ReplyDeleteI love patterns that use pre-cuts. It makes it so easy to eliminate a lot of the cutting. I really like the crisp white diamond shapes against the colorful background.
ReplyDeleteSO cute! I have been hoarding my precuts for awhile. I would be seriously tempted by this pattern to break into them. Something interesting: I love watching the St George Marathon, going on tomorrow in my town.
ReplyDeletelove this pattern! wonderful job Amber!
ReplyDeleteAnd the blue one looks great hanging in the shop!
-Holly :)
Love love this pattern...was not going to start anything new yet, but gotta have this TWISTED baby, so simple and so striking..Also love the Marmalade from Camille and Bonne. Great job...Amber

ReplyDeleteAn interesting thing - hmmmm - I love to sew and have been sewing like the wind lately. :-)
What a wonderful pattern - it makes lovely quilts!
ReplyDeleteI love the blue and white one. It looks like DNA. ( that's my geek side coming out). Would love to have this pattern! It looks easy enough for me as well.
ReplyDeleteThis pattern is awesome. I especially love the two tone version for the baby quilt. So pretty that looks. LOVE IT>
ReplyDeleteLove the pattern and both versions! I am going to make a baby quilt for a friend and this would be a fun pattern to try. Thanks for the opportunity to win. :)
ReplyDeleteMaria
Very nice patterns! I like both, but the baby quilt is so elegant in its simplicity of colors and I love the way you decided to quilt it. I hope to win! Barbara form Italy
ReplyDeleteGreat pattern, Amber. It looks like it would go together pretty fast. I think I like the dimension of the two color twist best. I don't know how you do it. You just keep coming out with more inspiration.
ReplyDeleteSomething interesting...hmmm...I have always gone for the more detailed quilts and now (probably my age) I'm liking the clean lines of quilts like this one. I starting to machine quilt some too, where I ALWAYS hand quilted before.
Very pretty. I could see lots of different looks based on fabric choices.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pattern! I just became a new follower-I found your blog through the quilt story blog.
ReplyDeleteThis is such a lovely pattern & such a dramatic difference in the patterned & solid fabric versions. Just wonderful, congratulations on another amazing pattern.
