Good morning friends!
It's week 4 of the Skipper Quilt Along and I've got a fun giveaway for you this week!
My friends at IronEZ reached out to me the other day to see if they could donate one of their Ironing Board Spray Bottle Holders to one of my followers and I knew it was something I wanted to give to my Quilt Along friends! I've had one for about a year now and love it!
The holder clips onto your ironing board so your spray bottles won't fall off while ironing (#quilterproblems, am I right?!) The IronEZ comes with a fantastic spray bottle but it can also hold Best Press or a regular starch bottle, whatever you prefer to use! I also love the fact that the holder twists so you don't even have to remove the IronEZ to put your ironing board in storage.
To enter to win an IronEZ, just post a picture of all your Skipper blocks on Instagram using the hashtag #skipperqal. I want to see your progress and your fabrics! Post this picture by Sunday, March 31st at noon and I will announce the winner here on the blog and on Instagram the following Monday morning. This is a great week to get caught up if you're behind.
So the plan for this week is:
Baby: make 4 blocks.
Throw: make 8 blocks.
Twin: make 16 blocks.
Queen: make 28 blocks.
(The only thing different than last week is the Queen size!
Is anyone making that size?)
Here are all my blocks thus far:
I'm having fun seeing these blocks come together and I am especially loving seeing your posts on Instagram! Thank you for sharing friends!
Happy quilting!
I would dearly love to win your bottle holder and spray bottle for my ironing board. I think I have the best ironing board there is today. I bought it approximately 54 years ago and even though I've had to put several covers on it, I've put them one on top of the other so my top is very, very soft and easy to iron on, and I've added a really neat holder to keep my cord up and away from the ironing area, it's a dream to iron on. I used to spend our Sunday evenings in front of the ironing board ironing all my husband's shirts for work and they turned out beautifully ironed. One of his secretaries even asked him one day where he had his shirts laundered because they looked so good and he would reply "at home. My wife does them." But now we're both retired and It's great to use for pressing my fabrics. When I'm done, I just put the board down and roll it to the corner. I bought it at Sears those many years ago and am so glad I have it. So far I haven't seen any other ones like it.
ReplyDeleteI'm doing the twin size this time around! :) I ALWAYS knock my spray bottle over.... this could be handy!
ReplyDeleteHello Amber,
ReplyDeleteI want to let you know that I enjoyed very much doing the skipper quilt.
Even I did it with the blocks upside down I think it came out beautiful!!!, posted some pictures on Instagram today.
I finished it early as it is a throw size so it is not too big and because I am leaving in a couple of days on a family vacation trip to Australia. My younger daughter with her husband and their little baby are living there so we will go to visit them.
I wanted to finish the quilt before we leave.
Hope I can join you on another quilt along in the near future.
Thank you and enjoy your spring!!!
